Congratulations!
If I post twice a year on average and rely on blogging as a means of documenting my life, I must hope to live a very long time. Let's see...what has happened since April? I renewed my contract for another year and still love my job. Steve started grad school and his third year as a high school football officiator. This is in addition to his full-time job and many side jobs. I painted my downstairs and did some decorating. We have a new stake center (church) in Athens. We have a new niece, L., born in May. She is beautiful! Of course we are biased, but if you saw her, you would agree. She has large dark eyes, perfect cheeks, a cute little nose, and lips like her big sister, K. (age 5) who said in her own words "She has my lips 'cause see, Aunt Wobbie, they are shaped like this (Kyla outlines her lips with her finger)." How cute is that? We also have a nephew, R. who was baptized in March. Congratulations, R! We love you. We welcomed Dave home from his mission in Sacramento and got to reintroduce him to his home away from home (Georgia is missing you, Dave!) and had fun visits with Mama Gerti and Rachel. (P.S. Any and all Weidlers are welcome at anytime). Our niece E. turned a year old, her Daddy graduated from UGA, and has his first "career" job. Congrats, Dylan! Emilee's graduation in May made it official...all four Davis' are UGA alumns. Go Dawgs! And go us. Who could calculate how much of our resources have been poured into that institution? Steve and I celebrated our 5th anniversary! I started working part time at a nursing facility and love it! Doing speech therapy with opposite ends of the age spectrum is fun. Speaking of speech, congrats to Joanne and Kevin who are expecting their first little one! And congrats to Brooke and Brandon on the birth of baby E.! I love her already. There are so many congrats! Stacey and Jeff congrats on baby B.! She is gorgeous! And congrats to the Dan, Erin, E., and G., on the arrival of handsome little R. If you are reading this and you have had a baby, gotten married, or have other congrats that you think I should have mentioned, but didn't, comment about it so we can celebrate it. Also, congrats to Tara and Brad. We had so much fun at your wedding!
